    Why Choose Clearly Ceremonial Matcha?

Matcha is a traditional Japanese tea powder made from finely ground green tea leaves. Unlike regular tea, you consume the entire leaf with matcha – giving you full access to antioxidants, amino acids, and other nutrients. That's why it's important that matcha is 100% free from chemicals.

Matcha quality can vary greatly – from basic culinary grade to premium ceremonial grade. The best matcha is bright green, creamy in texture, smooth in taste, and rich in umami – without any bitterness.

Clearly Ceremonial Matcha is of the highest quality and comes from a unique organic environment in Kagoshima, Japan. The tea plants grow in volcanic soil, free from pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Even surrounding farms are fully organic, ensuring your matcha is completely clean and pure.

    Main Benefits:

    • 100% pure: Completely free from pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers
    • Ceremonial grade: Made only from the youngest leaves of the first harvest
    • Perfect taste: Smooth, creamy, and rich in umami – no bitterness
    • More nutrients: Plants grow for 2 extra years for more depth
    • Caffeine boost: 104 mg per stick for natural energy
    • Focus & calm: 80 mg L-theanine per stick for balance
    • Always fresh: 2 g sticks protect against light, air, and moisture

    How to Use Clearly Matcha

Clearly Ceremonial Matcha can be prepared in multiple ways – traditional, quick, or as a latte:

    Traditional Preparation

    1. Warm your bamboo whisk (chasen) in hot water
    2. Sift 1 stick (2 g) into a dry matcha bowl
    3. Add 60 ml water at 80–90°C (not boiling)
    4. Whisk in an M or Z motion until foam appears

    Quick & Easy

    1. Pour 1 stick into a shaker or glass
    2. Add 60 ml warm water (80–90°C)
    3. Shake or stir until fully dissolved

    Matcha Latte

    1. Prepare matcha using one of the methods above
    2. Add warm or plant-based milk
    3. For an iced latte: add ice cubes before the milk and matcha
    4. Optionally sweeten with honey or syrup

    What Does It Taste Like?

Matcha is often described as grassy, but flavor depends heavily on quality. Low-grade matcha tastes bitter and harsh, while Clearly Ceremonial Matcha is creamy, soft, and rich in umami – with a hint of natural sweetness. Its taste is shaped by the climate, soil, and drying process – and Clearly Matcha nails that balance.

    Why Sticks?

Matcha is sensitive to oxygen, light, and moisture. In bulk packaging, it oxidizes quickly, reducing its flavor and nutrition. Our 2 g sticks protect the matcha from degradation – always fresh, perfectly dosed, and travel-friendly.

    What Makes Matcha So Healthy?

Matcha is packed with nutrients that support your health. It's rich in antioxidants like EGCG, which protect your cells from free radicals. L-theanine promotes calm and focus, and in combination with caffeine, it offers a clean energy boost – without coffee’s jitters. A perfect fit for a healthy lifestyle.

    What Does Ceremonial Grade Mean?

Ceremonial grade is the highest quality of matcha. It’s made from the youngest leaves of the first harvest – rich in nutrients and naturally sweet. These leaves are handpicked and stone-ground into a vibrant green powder with deep umami and minimal bitterness. Ceremonial matcha is meant to be enjoyed pure – as in Japanese tea ceremonies.
