General Warnings

• Not suitable for persons under 18 years of age.
• Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Do not drive or operate machinery after use.
• Do not combine with alcohol, medication (especially MAO inhibitors or antidepressants), or other drugs.

Contraindications (When NOT to use?)

You must absolutely not use this product in the following situations:

• Concomitant use of medication or other drugs, in particular MAO inhibitors (such as Peganum harmala and Banisteriopsis caapi) and certain antidepressants. The combination of MAO-inhibiting substances with the monoamine alkaloids in kratom can lead to severe and potentially fatal reactions.
• Concomitant use of central nervous system depressants, such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opiates. This can lead to dangerous respiratory depression, where breathing becomes shallower, resulting in death in extreme cases.
• Concomitant use of stimulants, as this combination can dangerously and significantly increase blood pressure.
• If you have a history of or are prone to addiction, due to the high risk of both psychological and physical dependence.

Possible Risks and Side Effects

• Short-term side effects: Use can lead to acute mild to severe complaints such as nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, and decreased appetite.
• Dehydration: Kratom has a diuretic effect. This can result in dry mouth, headache, and increased nausea. It is necessary to drink enough water during and after use.
• Dosage and unpredictability: The exact potency and effects differ greatly per kratom strain, and there is a lack of extensive scientific research. Careless dosing significantly increases the likelihood of side effects. Accurately weighing a low dose with a precision scale is necessary to limit risks. Consumption in the form of tea generally causes fewer stomach complaints than taking loose powder. Intake on an empty stomach reduces the chance of vomiting, while a light snack half an hour after intake can help against stomach discomfort.
• Traffic safety: Kratom impairs responsiveness and significantly reduces coordination. Participation in traffic is discouraged.
• Tolerance and Addiction: With frequent or daily use, tolerance develops quickly, requiring increasingly higher dosages to experience effects. This leads to a strong psychological urge to use and physical dependence.
• Withdrawal symptoms: Suddenly stopping use after regular or daily use for a longer period (several days a week) results in withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms include muscle pain, muscle twitches, diarrhea, excessive sweating, intense restlessness, and anxiety. These complaints can last for up to two weeks.
