Are you looking for the best way to keep your herbs fresh, do you want to prevent odor nuisance while traveling, or are you searching for an inconspicuous place to hide valuables? At Novus Fumus, we understand that proper storage goes beyond just a simple box. Our collection is built on three essential pillars:
- Maintaining Freshness: Optimal curing and protection against drying out.
- Discretion: Odor-proof and inconspicuous transportation.
- Security: Hiding valuables such as cash or jewelry in 'plain sight'.
Why is proper storage essential?
Whether you are a passionate connoisseur or just want to store your belongings safely, the right storage is crucial. First, it offers physical protection. Nothing is more annoying than a bent joint or buds that have turned into dust because they were loose in your pocket.
In addition, there is the aspect of quality preservation. Herbs are sensitive to external factors such as light (UV radiation), air (oxidation), and moisture. Without the right protection, your products quickly lose their potency, aroma, and flavor. Finally, discretion plays a major role. With the right smell-proof technology, you prevent unwanted questions and ensure a worry-free experience, wherever you are.
Curing and Freshness: Optimize Aroma and Flavor
For true connoisseurs and growers, the process truly begins after the harvest. Curing is the aging process where chlorophyll is broken down and terpenes (the flavor and aroma compounds) develop optimally.
Moisture control is key
A constant humidity between 58% and 62% is essential. Too dry means loss of flavor; too moist increases the chance of mold.
Stash Cans: The ultimate security for Cash & Valuables
Sometimes you want to hide something where no one expects it. Stash cans are indistinguishable from everyday household items.
Why a stash can?
Burglars and unwanted onlookers often look in the usual places: safes, nightstands, or desk drawers. However, they will rarely double-check a can of Pringles, a bottle of fish food, or even a toilet brush. This makes them ideal for:
- Cash: For those who prefer to keep some cash at home outside of the bank.
- Jewelry and USB sticks: Safe storage of heirlooms or hardware wallets containing crypto.
- Vacation & Beach: Hide your car keys in a fake sunscreen bottle while you go for a swim.
- Microdosing: Keep your capsules safe, dry, and dark out of sight of children or roommates.
Types of Storage: Which material suits you?
Need help choosing? We have listed the most popular categories for you:
Vacuum & Plastic (TightVac & Vitavac)
The patented TightVac system works with a unique push-button that forces air out when closing.
- Advantages: Lightweight, water-resistant, and 100% smell-proof.
Luxury Wood & Leather (Kavatza & Roll Boxes)
Want your stash box to be a centerpiece on the coffee table? Then wooden boxes are the right choice. They are not only aesthetically beautiful but often equipped with handy extras like built-in paper holders, cutting boards, and pokers.
Smell-Proof Bags & Travel Bags
For travelers and festival-goers, we offer bags and pouches with active carbon technology. Brands like Grove Bags or our Smell-Proof Puff Pouches absorb all molecules, ensuring that truly no aroma escapes on the train or in the street.
Frequently Asked Questions about Stash & Storage (FAQ)
What is the difference between a standard ziplock bag and a TightVac?
A ziplock bag is a temporary, cheap solution that leaks odor and is not vacuum-sealed. A TightVac is a durable investment that creates a vacuum seal, keeping your contents fresh for months and fully containing odors.
How do I keep my herbs fresh for the longest time?
The golden rule is: store them in a cool, dark, and airtight place.
Are stash cans really indistinguishable from the real thing?
Yes! Most of our stash cans are made from original packaging and even have a weight that matches a full product. You cannot hear or feel the difference.
What humidity is ideal for storing herbs?
For most herbs and cannabis, the ideal relative humidity is between 58% and 62%.
