The Novus Fumus Spiritshop is a spiritual shop with a wide range of products: incense and smudge products, tarot and Lenormand cards, Japanese wind chimes, dreamcatchers, and spiritual candles. Here you'll find consumables for scent and ritual, as well as durable holders, decorations, and card decks. Below, you can read about the main differences per product group.
The collection consists of four distinct product categories, each with its own use and application.
Within this group, there are clear differences between the materials you burn and the holders you use for them.
The Darshan Palo Santo Incense Sticks come in a tube of 20 sticks, with a burning time of approximately 1 hour per stick. Satya Incense Sticks are available in packs of 12 x 15 grams in scents such as Sandalwood, Indian Rose, and Palo Santo. Both are consumables that you place in an incense holder and allow to smoulder.
The 10 cm White Sage Stick is a hand-tied, air-dried smudge stick with a burning time of up to approximately 2 hours. This stick is intended for smudging: the ritual burning or smouldering of herbs in a spiritual context.
An incense holder catches the ash and keeps a stick stable while burning. In the collection, you'll find mango wood holders with brass inlay, 30 cm wooden models in Elephant, Mandala, and Obelisk designs, and the Chakra Symbols Incense Box (white or black) with a storage compartment for sticks. For smudging, there are separate smudge bowls: the metal Hand of Fatima and Tree of Life Smudge Bowls (both 10 cm) and the ceramic GODDESS Smudge Holder (100 x 125 mm), in which you place Palo Santo, white sage, sweetgrass, or incense cones upright.
Always read the packaging or label of incense, sage, or candles before use, to ensure these flammable products are used safely and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Tarot and Lenormand are two different card reading systems; one is not automatically the same as the other.
The range includes several thematic tarot decks, such as Black Ravens, Surrealist (inspired by Salvador Dali), Starry Night (inspired by Vincent van Gogh), Golden Age, Tarot of Magicians, and Rainbow. Additionally, there is the Rider-Waite Tarot Pocket Edition with 78 cards in a compact size. Almost all decks come with an illustrated guide, suitable for those new to tarot.
The Lenormand Fortune-Telling Cards Pocket Edition contains 37 cards in pocket size. Each card has a fixed keyword; by combining cards, a short message emerges that serves as a starting point for a reading. This makes Lenormand a more direct and practical system than tarot.
The collection features three Japanese Samui bamboo wind chimes: models Kuki (air), Hanabi (fire), and Mizu (water). Each model is tuned to its own unique tone by Japanese artisans and can be hung both indoors and outdoors.
The dreamcatchers in the collection – including Chakra, Turquoise, Yin Yang, and a multi-coloured version – are decorative objects traditionally associated with the Ojibwe/Anishinaabe community in North America. There, dreamcatchers were made as protection above children's cradles. By the late twentieth century, the object also became known within the New Age movement as an atmospheric decorative item. In the Spiritshop, dreamcatchers are primarily a decorative object with this cultural background.
The Green Tree Gemstone Candles are 70-gram scented candles with gemstone finishes, available in Healing Lavender, Inner Grow Mint, Cleansing Sandalwood, Spiritual Balance Jasmine, and Positivity Green Tea variants. They are suitable for daily use or as an addition to a ritual with incense or smudge.
The Spiritshop brings diverse spiritual product categories together in one place: from consumables like incense and sage to decorative objects such as wind chimes and dreamcatchers, and card decks for those working with tarot or Lenormand. For each product category, you can read about the differences between materials, holders, and decorations, allowing you to make an informed choice within the range.
Incense sticks, Palo Santo, and white sage are consumables that you burn or allow to smoulder. Incense holders, smudge bowls, and the ceramic smudge holder are durable accessories in which you safely place these materials. Wind chimes, dreamcatchers, and tarot or Lenormand cards are decorative or utility objects that are not consumed.
Tarot cards follow a fixed tarot structure with extensive symbolism per card, suitable for in-depth reflection. Lenormand cards work with a fixed keyword per card; by combining cards, a short message emerges. Lenormand is therefore more direct and practical, while tarot is more symbolic and extensive in interpretation.
Most tarot decks in the Spiritshop are full decks; the Rider-Waite Tarot Pocket Edition contains 78 cards in a compact size. The Lenormand Fortune-Telling Cards Pocket Edition contains 37 cards, also in pocket size, convenient for carrying.
Dreamcatchers are traditionally associated with the Ojibwe/Anishinaabe community in North America, who made them as protection above children's cradles. By the late twentieth century, the object also became known within the New Age movement as a decorative item. The Spiritshop offers dreamcatchers as a decorative object with this cultural background, without any claimed efficacy.
