What are cones?
A cone is an empty, pre-rolled joint. It has a tapered shape, with a wider opening at the top and a narrower end near the tip. Most cones already come with a tip in place, so there is no need to fold a separate tip or shape the rolling paper yourself.
Cones are sold empty. This means they do not contain tobacco, cannabis or any other smoking material when you buy them.
What sizes of cones are available?
Cones are available in a variety of sizes, including Small, Medium, King Size, Party, Jumbo and Giga. The best size for you mainly depends on how much filling space you want and how large you want your cone to be.
Size names can vary between brands. A King Size or Party Cone from one brand may therefore have slightly different dimensions from one made by another brand. If you are unsure, always check the product information for the exact measurements.
Different types of rolling paper
Not every cone is made from the same material. In addition to standard white rolling paper, you can also find unbleached cones, hemp cones, rice paper cones and cellulose varieties.
Unbleached cones are usually easy to recognise by their light brown colour. Hemp and rice paper each have their own texture and thickness, while transparent cones are often made from cellulose.
What is the difference between a blunt and a cone?
A regular cone is a pre-rolled sleeve made from thin rolling paper, hemp paper or a similar material. Traditionally, a blunt is made from tobacco leaf, although tobacco-free alternatives made from materials such as hemp are also widely available today. There is also a noticeable difference in flavour. A cone made from thin rolling paper usually has a relatively neutral taste, allowing the flavour of the contents to come through more clearly. Blunts often have a more distinctive flavour due to the leaf or wrap used. Traditional tobacco blunts, for example, can have a fuller and more pronounced tobacco flavour. Flavoured blunt wraps and blunt cones are also available.
There is also a difference between blunt wraps and blunt cones. A blunt wrap is a loose sheet that you roll around the contents yourself. A blunt cone is already pre-rolled into a conical shape. Just like a regular cone, all you need to do is fill it and close the top.

How do you fill a cone?
The easiest way to fill a cone is gradually. Distribute the contents as evenly as possible and gently pack them down as you go. Some packs include a small packing tool that makes it easier to press the contents into place. Avoid packing the cone too tightly. If the contents are compressed too much, airflow can be restricted and you may need to draw harder. Once the cone is filled, twist or fold the excess paper at the top to close it.
