How to Roll a Tip for Your Joint That Actually Stays Round

A well-rolled tip gives your joint extra stability and helps create a smooth airflow. With this simple M-fold, you can make a firm, round tip in just a few steps that keeps its shape while rolling. Watch the video or follow the steps below.
How do you roll a tip for a joint?
For this method, all you need is a regular paper tip. First, we create a small M-fold and then roll the rest of the paper around it.
Step 1: Make the first fold
Fold the top of the tip down by about half a centimetre. Press the fold firmly so you get a sharp crease.
Step 2: Fold the paper back
Now fold the end in the opposite direction. Make this second fold slightly shorter than the first one.
Step 3: Create the M shape
Fold the tip back again in the same direction as the first fold. If you have done it correctly, you should now see a small M shape.
Step 4: Press the M against the tip
Gently press the folded M against the rest of the tip. Keep the folds neatly together, but do not flatten them completely.
Step 5: Roll from the other side
Now start at the other end of the tip and roll the paper tightly towards the M.
Step 6: Give the paper some memory
Roll the tip tightly back and forth a few times. This gives the paper a kind of memory and helps it naturally keep its round shape.
This simple trick makes it much easier to keep the tip neatly rolled afterwards.
Step 7: Roll the M inside
Do not completely unroll the tip again. Keep the round shape intact and carefully roll the M inside.
Gently press everything into place until you have a firm, round tip.
Why use an M-fold in your tip?
The M in the centre helps the tip keep its shape and prevents the middle from being completely pressed closed. Rolling the paper tightly beforehand also makes it easier for the tip to stay round while you roll your joint.
Having trouble rolling the tip?
No problem. The small M-fold can take a little practice at first. Try to make the folds sharp and roll the paper tightly a few times during step 6. After a few attempts, it usually becomes much easier.
