What's in a Rolling Papers and Tips Combo?
A combo, also known as a 3-in-1 pack, combines rolling papers and tips in one booklet or pack. The number of papers and tips included, and whether extra components like a tray or bamboo stick are supplied, varies by product. For example, Mascotte Combi booklets contain 34 papers and 34 tips, while a G-Rollz 3-in-1 pack often includes 50 papers, 50 filter tips, and a tray. Always check the product specifications before making your choice.
Size and Contents: Slim Size, King Size Slim, 1¼ or Roll
The size determines how much paper you get per sheet and suits a specific joint size. Within this collection, you'll find combos in Slim Size, King Size Slim, and 1¼, each with its own paper dimensions. Slim Size and King Size Slim are elongated formats, while 1¼ is slightly wider and shorter.
Besides booklets with individual sheets, there's also a rolling papers and tips combo on a roll. With papers on a roll, you determine the length yourself: you cut off the desired piece instead of using a fixed sheet. This works differently from a booklet, where each sheet is already pre-cut.
- Slim Size: long and narrow papers, often used in Mascotte combos.
- King Size Slim: longer format, often used in G-Rollz combos.
- 1¼: wider and shorter papers for a different rolling experience.
- Roll: determine the length yourself instead of using fixed sheets.
Material and Brands: Your Choice Defines the Experience
The collection features combos from Mascotte, G-Rollz, and Woodzl, each with its own approach. Mascotte offers Slim Size rolling papers in versions like Extra Thin, Brown, and Organic Hemp, with natural Acacia gum on the paper. G-Rollz releases combos within series such as Collector, Pets Rock, and Banksy's Graffiti, with papers made from finely pressed plant fibres or hemp fibres and a gumline based on acacia tree sap. Woodzl focuses on unbleached long rolling papers with filter tips in plastic-free cardboard packaging.
Claims such as extra thin, unbleached, hemp, or slow-burning only apply to products for which the manufacturer specifically states them, and not automatically to the rest of the collection. Therefore, always check the specifications provided for each product.
The tips in these combos are typically made of cardboard and intended to be hand-rolled into a mouthpiece, as Mascotte describes for its Original Tips. They are not medical filters, but rather an aid to make your joint firmer and easier to hold.
For rolling papers intended for tobacco products, regulations may vary by country regarding the inclusion of flavour or scent additives. Always check current local regulations before purchase and use.
