What is a Growkit?
A growkit is a complete set for cultivating magic mushrooms – mushrooms that contain the psychoactive compound psilocybin. The kit includes a fully colonized substrate block with mycelium, a grow bag with air filter, and instructions. It’s super easy to use: after moistening, you place the kit in the supplied bag, ventilate it regularly, and keep it moist. Under the right conditions, the first fruiting bodies will appear within 2 to 4 weeks.
Important tips for successful cultivation:
The ideal temperature is between 20 and 24 °C. At lower temperatures, growth may slow down or stop.
Avoid direct sunlight – a light spot with indirect light is ideal.
How Do Magic Mushrooms Work?
Psilocybin, the main active compound, is converted into psilocin in the body. This substance affects the central nervous system, especially the serotonin receptors in the brain. Effects can vary greatly depending on the person and the dosage: from heightened sensory perception and visual effects to deep spiritual experiences. The onset is typically 30–60 minutes after consumption and lasts several hours.
Our growkits are available in various sizes: 250cc, 1200cc, or 2100cc. Depending on volume, strain, and care, you can expect a total yield of around 100 to 800 grams of fresh mushrooms – spread over multiple harvests.
Dosage & Effect
The effects of psilocybin depend on the dosage, body weight, and mental state. A typical (dried) dosage:
Microdosing: 0.1 – 0.3 g
Light: approx. 1 g
Moderate: 1.5 – 2.5 g
Strong: from 3 g upwards
