FDA Approved

The US regulator, the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), has granted Vuse a marketing license. They are the first manufacturer to continue selling e-cigarettes and their associated liquids.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted RJ Reynolds (RJR) Vapor Company approval for its Vuse Solo closed-loop e-cigarette and related tobacco-flavored e-liquid pods.

Specifically, we're referring to the Vuse Solo Power Unit, Vuse Replacement Cartridge Original 4.8% G1, and Vuse Replacement Cartridge Original 4.8% G2. Because RJR Vapor Company has submitted data to the FDA demonstrating that marketing these products is appropriate for protecting public health, the current authorization allows these products to be legally sold in the US.

Approved e-cigarette

The VUSE e-cigarette is now the first FDA-approved e-cigarette. We previously reported that other e-cigarettes were under heavy fire. The Juul e-cigarette received negative press before the coronavirus pandemic due to its youth-oriented marketing.

Now that the VUSE e-cigarette has been approved in the US, we can expect more from this brand soon. Perhaps e-cigarettes will also gain a different status. While e-cigarettes aren't considered a smoking cessation aid in the Netherlands, this is different in the United Kingdom. Vape shops are even opening in various hospitals there, and smokers are being encouraged to switch to e-cigarettes.
