Contraindications (When NOT to use?)

You should not use this product if any of the following medical or psychological situations apply:

• Mental complaints or sensitivity: In case of a current diagnosis or a history of mental disorders, including schizophrenia, psychoses, anxiety disorders, or depression. The active substances (especially THC) can influence or worsen these complaints.
• Cardiovascular diseases: If you suffer from cardiovascular conditions, such as cardiac arrhythmias or high blood pressure, due to the risk of acute cardiovascular fluctuations.
• Autoimmune diseases: Cannabinoids can affect the immune system, which is undesirable in active autoimmune diseases.
• Impaired liver function: In case of existing liver function disorders. High dosages can put extra strain on the liver and delay the breakdown of substances.
• Specific medication use (enzyme inhibition/enzyme induction): When you use medication that is broken down via the P450 enzyme system in the liver (specifically the CYP3A4 and CYP2C9 enzymes), or when you have strict instructions to avoid grapefruit. Use is contraindicated with, among others:Anti-epileptics (e.g., carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone).Heart medication and anti-arrhythmics (e.g., amiodarone, diltiazem, verapamil).Antibiotics (e.g., clarithromycin, erythromycin, rifampicin, rifabutin, telithromycin).Antimycotics / antifungal agents (e.g., fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, miconazole).HIV inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir).Antidepressants and herbal supplements (e.g., St. John's Wort, nefazodone).Sleeping pills, sedatives, and strong painkillers (such as benzodiazepines, sedatives, or opiates).Other agents such as enzalutamide, glucocorticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), modafinil, oxcarbazepine, pioglitazone, suboxone, or troglitazone.

Possible Risks and Side Effects

The use of products containing cannabinoids (CBD and/or THC) carries potential risks and side effects, both in the short and long term:

• Acute physical side effects: Even at low concentrations (especially of THC), an increased heart rate (palpitations), dry mouth, dizziness, flushing, and red eyes can occur.
• Psychological reactions: Depending on the exact composition and your individual sensitivity, psychoactive effects may occur (a lethargic or 'stoned' feeling). This can lead to unwanted feelings of anxiety, restlessness, confusion, or panic in some users.
• Interactions and dangerous fluctuations in blood levels: Cannabinoids can inhibit or enhance the effect of regular medication. If liver enzymes are blocked by concomitant medication use, the concentration of cannabis substances in your blood can rise dangerously. Conversely, certain medications can accelerate breakdown, reducing the effectiveness of your treatment.
• Enhancement of depressants: This product enhances the sedating effect of alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opiates on the central nervous system. This leads to significantly reduced alertness and lowered responsiveness.
• Liver strain: Long-term use or a high dosage can negatively affect liver function values. Stop use immediately in case of symptoms such as unexplained fatigue, dark urine, or a yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice).
• Variable absorption and dosing risk: The absorption of cannabinoids into the body is significantly increased when the product is taken in combination with high-fat meals. This can lead to unexpectedly strong or delayed effects. Therefore, always start with a minimal dosage and increase it very slowly.
