The Dreamcatcher Turquoise is an elegantly designed dreamcatcher in beautiful turquoise hues. It is a decorative object that you can hang in a bedroom or any other space, inspired by a traditional item with a rich history.
The dreamcatcher originally comes from the Ojibwe (Anishinaabeg), a Native American people from North America. Traditionally, a dreamcatcher consists of a round hoop with a web inside, often complemented by beads or stones and feathers hanging below the hoop. Parents made dreamcatchers to hang above the beds or cradles of their children.
According to Ojibwe tradition, the sky is filled with both good and bad dreams. The dreamcatcher's web was believed to catch bad dreams, which would then disappear in the morning sun. Good dreams, however, could slip through the open center of the dreamcatcher to the dreamer. This story gives the dreamcatcher a strong symbolic meaning, regardless of whether you personally subscribe to this belief.
Due to its spiritual and esoteric associations, the dreamcatcher also became known among followers of New Age thought in the late twentieth century. Today, the dreamcatcher is primarily valued as a decorative element: an eye-catcher on the wall that gives a room a calm, artisanal look. The Dreamcatcher Turquoise aligns with this trend with its distinctive turquoise color scheme.
